Adult Swim called on us to submit concepts for IDs promoting the fifth season of Rick and Morty. They asked that we emphasize the main cast and season 5, but avoid dialogue, nudity and gore. Otherwise they had no notes on style, and in fact expected a look that differed from the show’s. Among our ideas Adult Swim chose two very different approaches: this one and another called Mt. Rickmore. Even though this spot and its sibling, Mt. Rickmore look very different, they say a lot about Rick and Morty’s bizarre storytelling and style. One thing they DO have in common is that they each received Bronze Telly Awards.
